Houlka- Mrs. Barbara Joyce Hancock King, 71, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2019 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Mississippi. Barbara King was born in Houston, Mississippi on November 14, 1948 to Albert Onie Hancock and Onita Smith. She served for 35 years as church Secretary for Houlka First Baptist Church.
Funeral Services will be held at Houlka First Baptist Church in Houlka, Mississippi on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. with Bro. David Blackwell, Bro. Rick Burton, and Bro. Patrick Collins officiating.
Burial will be at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Woodland, Mississippi with Bro. Bruce Cappleman officiating.
Houston Funeral Home will be in charge arrangements.
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 26, 2019 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Houlka First Baptist Church in Houlka.
Barbara King is survived by her sister, Algia Smith; her brother, Tommy Hancock; her brother-in-law, Wayne (Sissy) King, her nieces, Michelle (Scott) Lilly and Dana (Derek) Brown; her Nephews, Corey (Olivia) King; and Shane (Brandi) Presley; her great-nieces, Brook Lilly, Annie Brown, Ava Presley, Jayde King, Leah Grace Dendy; her great-nephews, Richie Lilly, and Matthew Dendy; her aunts, Ann Criddle, Ann Smith, Bonnie Hodges, Marie (Raymond) Pettit, and Janie (Billy) Harrison; and her uncle, James (Patsy) Smith.
Barbara King was preceded in death by her parents, and her late husband, Michael King.
Pallbearers will be Brad Smith, Roger Pettit, Richard Chrestman, K.C. Gates, Tim Berry, Joey Ward, Tim Davidson, Ryan Terry, and Lee Burgess.
Honorary Pallbearers will be past and present Deacons of the church.
