Betty Jo Sharp

Betty Jo Sharp, 88, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2020, at Landmark Nursing and Rehabilitation in Booneville. She was born in Townley, AL, on April 19, 1931, to Columbus Guthrie and Vera Pike Guthrie. She enjoyed bingo, traveling, singing, and gospel songs.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, February 22, 2020, at Booneville Funeral Home with Bro. Walter Downs officiating. Visitation will start at 12:00 and go until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens in Athens, AL. Booneville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her son, Keith Sharp of Athens, AL; one sister, Mary Ames of Pinson, AL; grandchildren, Kim Yates of Booneville, Jason Tays of Chattanooga, TN, Jeremy Sharp (Victoria) and Julie Sharp, both of Athens, AL; great-grandchildren, Ethan Yates, Sam Yates, Emma Grace Bryant, all of Booneville, and Aidan Jansen of Athens, AL; and a son-in-law, Gene Tays.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Bernal Sharp; her parents; a daughter, Nita Tays; and a sister, Ilene Kilpatrick.
