Jerry Lee Brown, Sr. was born to Mr. Charlie Brown and Mrs. Ollie Mae Brown on November 1, 1949 in Douglas, GA. On Friday, July 13, 2018 the Lord called him home to rest after fighting the good fight with cancer.
He leaves to cherish his memories a loving and devoted wife, Maberlean Brown. Eight children: Jerry Brown, Jr., Darsharn Brown (Andrea), Jerry (JB) Brown, Tony Johnson all of Okolona, MS. Gregory (Ashley) Brown, Francis (Justin) Carter of Houston, MS. Tammy (Isadore) Roan of Camilla, GA, Sabrina Herring of Douglas, GA. A special nephew whom he thought of as a son, Derek Gillespie. A special niece: Teresa Pinson of Okolona, MS.
Twenty-one grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, one sister: Kathleen (Lymos) Farr of Okolona, MS. one sister-n-law: Christine Brown of Atlanta, GA, four sister-n-laws: Erma Gates of Verona, MS, Glender Payne of Tupelo, MS, Jessie (Arthur) Walker of Okolona, MS and Nicole (Richard) Caradine of Aberdeen, MS. Two brother-n-laws: Curtis Gillespie, Sr. and James (Carol) Gillespie, Sr. both of Okolona, MS.
Two aunt-n-laws: Beatrice (George) Mayweather of Grand Rapids, MI and Mattie Donaldson of South Bend, IN.
Two special cousins: Deborah (Dennis) Matthews of Douglasville, GA. And Bobby (Tina) Cutno of Summerville, SC.
A daughter, Cynthia Brown, preceded him in death.
