Private family service for William Charles Barnes, Sr., 74, are set for Wednesday at Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Warren Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
Family will receive friends Tuesday with social distancing from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.
Charles died May 24, 2020 at Tishomingo Manor in Iuka, MS. He was born March 31, 1946 in Alcorn Co. MS to the late William Thomas Barnes, Sr. and Mary Etta Lancaster Barnes. He was a 1966 graduate of Kossuth High School and a retired factory worker having worked at ITT, Quartet and FCA. He attended Church of the Crossroads, were he was an usher.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Edna (Phillip) Jullian, Dorothy (Charles) Perkins, Kathryn Mills (Knox); brothers, Bill (Marie) Barnes, Tommy (Martha) Barnes; brothers-in-law, Jimmy Lambert and Leroy Hanvey.
Charles is survived by his wife of 49 years, Beulah Butler Barnes; son, William ”Will” Charles Barnes, Jr. (Evelyn Jackson); sisters, Clara Sue Lambert, Betty Jo Hanvey; grandchildren, Matthew Jackson, Chelsea Jackson; great grandchildren, Emma and Baylor Graham; nieces, nephews, family and friends.
