Patsy Lynn Cain Patterson, 80, of Bruce passed from this life on Tuesday, August 18, 2020, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Calhoun City. Born on December 1, 1939, in Calhoun County, Patsy was a daughter to late Giles Fred Cain and Oma Leachman Cain.
Patsy, a veteran cosmetologist of four decades, spent many years of her life with scissors and brush in hand styling the ladies hair that sat in front of her. She worked in several shops in the Bruce area before, opening a place of her own, Patsy’s Hair Place. When Pasty wasn’t styling hair, she could be found working outside tending to her yard. She enjoyed the laborious task of growing flowers and mowing the yard. Patsy liked to stay active and enjoyed walking with her friends in an effort to stay healthy. She chose to follow Christ throughout her life, and she did so by worshipping Him at First Baptist Church Bruce.
This loving lady, better known as granny, leaves behind a precious family to carry her memory in their hearts for the reminder of their days; one son David Michael Clark and wife Tina of Pontotoc, Mississippi; one daughter Diana Clark Martin of Bruce, Mississippi; four grandchildren: Wes Harris, Renee (Josh) Stegall, Tony Martin, Katelyn (Chance) Collier; five great grandchildren: Camryn Harris, Carsen Stegall, Collyns Stegall, Conleigh Stegall, and Cullen Collier; one brother Louie (Nell) Cain of Bruce, Mississippi; and one sister Mary Sue Powell of Memphis, Tennessee.
Patsy was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Joe Patterson; parents, Giles Fred Cain and Oma Leachman Cain; three sisters: Catherine Hipp, Tommie Horn, and Bernice Cain; three brothers-in-law: James Hipp, Clint Powell, and Pat Horn.
