Vernedia  L. Robinson was born November 5, 1932 to the late Ozella Robinson Murphy in Guntown, MS . She departed this life August 13, 2020 at Diversicare Healthcare Center in Tupelo, MS.

At an early age, Vernedia professed faith and hope in Jesus Christ and united with Ebenezer M.B. Church. For many years, she served as Sunday School Secretary, Usher Board, Choir, Missionary Society, and Kitchen Committee. She also served in the Springhill District Association until her health failed.

Vernedia received her early education at Lowe’s School in Guntown, MS. She retired from Columbian Rope Company after being employed there for many years.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories one brother and sister-in-law: James (Naomi) Knowles of Guntown, MS, a special niece: Latanya Knowles of Guntown, MS, a special nephew: Jamey Knowles of Guntown, MS, and a special great-nephew: Jaylen Knowles Beeks.

She also leaves five nieces: Venessa Murphy of Mount Clemens, MI,

Violet (James) Jones of Virginia Beach, VA, Rachelle (Richard) Galvan of Mount Clemens, MI, Valerie (Willie) Murphy of Mount Clemens, MI, and Kimberly (Dereck) Vann of Chesterfield, MI; one nephew: Eddie Murphy, Jr. of Mount Clemens, MI and a host of great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, other family members, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother: Ozella Robinson Murphy, her grandmother: Bessie Robinson, one brother: Eddie Lawrence Murphy, Sr.

two sisters: Jeffrey Sue Coleman, and Edna Murphy.
