Mr. Terry Kilpatrick, Sr., 60, transitioned on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, TN.

Terry Lorenzer Kilpatrick, Sr., was born December 10, 1958 to the late Mr. John Kilpatrick and Mrs. Parrie Ford Kilpatrick in Holly Springs, Mississippi.

Terry accepted Christ at St. Mark M.B. Church in Holly Springs, Mississippi. Terry was a 1979 graduate of Holly Springs High School. Terry worked 25 years for Burlington Northern Railroad, after leaving Burlington Northern, he worked 15 years with Serenity Funeral Home as a Funeral Director Assistant.  Terry enjoyed life to the fullest.  He accomplished many things, such as singing and playing the piano for many churches, President of the Marshall County Singing Union, and Auxiliary Deputy for Marshall County, but most of all, he loved to “run his mouth.” He never met a stranger.

Terry was united in holy matrimony to Irene Ambrose on June 28, 1986 and to this union, one son, Terry Lorenzer Kilpatrick, II was born.

Terry leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Irene Kilpatrick of Holly Springs, Mississippi, one daughter, Terri Harvey, two sons, Angelo Jeffries and Terry Kilpatrick, II, all of Holly Springs, Mississippi, two sisters, Velma (Carl) Pegues of Holly Springs, Mississippi, Better (Junius) McCloud of Cordova, Tennessee, one uncle, Maurice Jones of Memphis, Tennessee, three sisters-in-law, Katie Kilpatrick of Holly Springs, Mississippi, Janie Bowen of Red Banks, Mississippi, Annette (Lee) Jones of Memphis, Tennessee, five grandchildren, Lorentaye Johnson, Jadycn Kilpatrick of Hickory Flat, Mississippi, India Jeffries and Aniyah Harvey of Holly Springs, Mississippi, Terriyuna Kilpatrick of Ashland, Mississippi, two special nieces, Brenda Kilpatrick and Latoya King both of Holly Springs, Mississippi, a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

He is preceded in death by three brothers, M.C. Kilpatrick, Leodria Kilpatrick, and Goodlow Kilpatrick.

Man said “I departed my earthly home on August 29, 2020 at 1:04 pm at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, but only God and I know.”

Visitation will be on Friday, September 4, 2020 from 2-7p.m. at Serenity-Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Holly Springs. Burial will take place on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at Cottrell Memorial Gardens in Holly Springs. Serenity-Autry Funeral Home of Holly Springs is honored to serve our own.
