Joe Clark

July 19, 1937 – December 28, 2020

Joe Phillip Clark was born in Harris, TX and grew up with 4 siblings. He was a member of the US Naval Reserve from 1955-1963 when he was honorably discharged. Joe graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1959 with degrees in Business Administration and Personnel Management. He married Betty Burney in 1961 and raised three daughters, Julie and twins, Jill and Wendy. Joe worked in plant management of children’s clothing manufacturing for the bulk of his career, residing in MS and GA. Joe and Betty have lived in Corinth for over 35 years and after retirement enjoyed RV-ing in TX, AL, TN, and FL.

Joe was an active member of the First United Methodist church where he participated in the Challenger Sunday School Class. He was an avid Beekeeper, caring for up to 15 hives, relocating swarms, and even giving presentations to classrooms and church groups.

Joe is survived by a brother and sister and daughters Jill, Wendy, and Julie; granddaughters Caroline and Emily; and a great-granddaughter Kennedy.

Due to COVID-19, a private funeral service will be held with family on Wednesday, December 30th.
