Mr. Peter Claver Buffinton, 59, transitioned on Friday, December 25, 2020 at his residence in Holly Springs.
Mr. Peter C. Buffinton, also known as (Pister Peter), was born September 11, 1961 to the late Lee Matthew Pegues, Sr., and the late Ruby Lee Faulkner Pegues, he departed this earthly life to be with the Lord on December 25, 2020.
Peter was employed with Rappa Construction until his health failed.
Peter leaves to cherish his memories one daughter, Lajettie Nicole Pegues; three grandchildren, Elijah Pegues, Martereon Pegues and Saniah Taylor; eight brothers, Robert Faulkner (Mary) of Rossville, TN, James Faulkner of Byhalia, MS, Frederick Buffinton (Joyce) of Memphis, TN, Lee Pegues Jr. (Cedera) of Holly Springs, MS, Larry Pegues of Byhalia, MS, Eric Pegues (Teise) of Memphis, TN, Tymon Pegues of Holly Springs, MS and Gary Pegues (Nikki) of Florence, AL; six sisters, Josephine Bogard, Ella Dortch, Earnestine Pegues, Julie Thomas (Billy Ray) and Layeunice Thomas (Rickey) all of Holly Springs, MS, Elaine Pye (Doug) of Byhalia, MS, special friend Kim Williams, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Peter is preceded in death by one son, Lil Peter Jr., Bobby, Juil, Rozell, James and Otis Pegues, two sisters, Ruby and Iolla.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2021 from 3-5p.m., at Serenity-Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Holly Springs. Burial will take place at Miller Cemetery in Olive Branch, MS. Serenity-Autry Funeral Home of Holly Springs is in charge of the arrangements.
