Mrs. Minnie Ray Parker

December 11, 1934 ~ March 7, 2021

Mrs. Minnie Ray Parker, 86, died on Sunday, March 7, 2021, at Oxford Health and Rehab in Oxford, MS. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. at Oxford Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Fish Robinson officiating.  

Born in Batesville, MS to the late Edna Varner and Johnnie Ray, Mrs. Parker was an avid gardener who loved spending time outside tending to her flowers and her vegetable garden. Her green thumb served her well throughout each season as she was able to can and put-up vegetables from her garden.  She enjoyed spending her time playing bingo with her friends. Her entire life was dedicated to being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. As a longtime member of North Oxford Baptist Church, Mrs. Parker was a dedicated Sunday School teacher for twenty-five years and her membership spanned fifty-five years

Mrs. Parker is survived by her husband of sixty-three years, Ray Parker of Oxford, MS; two daughters, Lexanne Brown, and her husband, Jerry of Oxford, MS and Cindy Parker of Jackson, TN; grandchildren, Ramsey and his wife, Shelbi, Robbie and his wife, Kayla, and John Robert; and three great-grandchildren, Reese, Grayson, and Everett.
