Carole Clark, 84, of Starkville, MS, entered the gates of Heaven on Monday, March 22, 2021. Carole was born in West Point, MS, to the late Nina Cottrell Clark and William Dallas Clark, Sr. Growing up in Starkville, MS, Carole attended Starkville High School and graduated in 1954. After graduation, she attended Sullins College in Bristol, VA, for two years and then moved to Memphis, TN, where she graduated from Rhodes College in 1958. She was a member of Chi Omega sorority. After college, she moved to New York City where she trained and danced in ballet. She returned to Memphis years later and was a premier soloist with the Memphis Civic Ballet (Ballet Memphis). She spent time teaching ballet to young children and also owned her own flower shop in Memphis. She was married to the late Bill Wilson of Memphis, TN. In 1974, she moved to Jasper, AR, where she lived for 41 years. At her home in Jasper, she was an avid gardener who loved to grow her own vegetables and had many flower gardens. She also designed her own clothing line called Carole Clark. She was a lover of all things organic and natural, and she enjoyed being outdoors. She loved to travel and frequented Europe, Peru and the Western States.
In addition to her parents, Carole is preceded in death by her brother, William Dallas Clark, Jr. of Bowling Green, KY.
Carole is survived by her brother, Albert Cottrell Clark (Glenda Bell Clark) of Starkville, MS, sister-in-law, Georgia Gayle Cleveland Clark, of Bowling Green, KY, a niece, Morgan Clark Schnur (Sean Carroll Schnur), three nephews, William Dallas Clark, III (Cindy Carr Clark), George Parker Clark (Kaitlynn Kirby Clark), Cameron Cottrell Clark (Meredith Doty Clark), 6 great-nieces, 4 great-nephews and many cousins. Also, her dear friend, Lydia Gibson, who the family is forever indebted to for her love, care and loyal friendship to Carole.
