Veona Harris

Molly Veona Harris, 97, passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at the Landmark Nursing and Rehab in Booneville, MS. She was born on August 29, 1923, to Talmadge Dewitt Geno and Etta Ethel Eaton Geno. She enjoyed gardening, yard sales, and operating the family owned business, Harris Skating Rink. She loved people and going to church.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, August 5, 2021, at Booneville Funeral Home with Bro. Ernest Jobe officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday night from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the Booneville Funeral Home. Burial will be in Jumpertown Cemetery. Booneville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her son, Tim Harris (Anita) of Rienzi; daughters, Nelda Harris and Hilda Roberts, both of Booneville; brother, Coe Moore (Ruby) of Jumpertown; grandchildren, Tammy Roberts, Greg Roberts (Ann), Heath Harris, all of Booneville, and Tim Harris, Jr. (Andrea), Anna Hearn (Jamie), and Chad Harris, all of Rienzi; 13 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Harris; parents, Dewitt and Ethel Geno; brothers, J. C. Geno, Feak Geno, Don Geno; sisters, Aurola Harris, Louree Steele, and Lilly Ruth Geno.
Pallbearers will be Colton Harris, Bryson Roberts, Adam Harris, Joe Yates, Austin Roberts, and Colby Harris. Honorary pallbearers will be Heath Harris, Tim Harris, Jr., Cody Riggs, Greg Roberts, Chad Harris, and J.J. Moneyham.
