James Earl Tribble passed away September 21, 2021 at Dugan Memorial Home at the age of 97. He was born June 2, 1924 in Cedar Bluff, MS to the late Margaret Beiswinger Tribble and John W Tribble. He was a veteran of the US Navy and served in WWII. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, and served as Deacon and Trustee and various other positions in the church.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Dot Tribble of West Point; son, Steve Tribble (Thea Kay) of West Point; daughter, Anita Gates (Larry) of West Point; 2 grandchildren, Layne Flanders (Travis) and Nikki Davison (Justin); 5 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, George Tribble.
Funeral services will be 3 PM Thursday September 23, 2021 at Robinson Chapel with Rev. Jim Young officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Bluff Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Randy Wooten, Darrell Shows, James Flippen, Justin Davison, Travis Flanders, Rodney Johnson. Honorary pallbearers are Rev. Roy Myers, Tony Cates, Herb Ingram, Jackie Busbin, his caregivers, Melinda Bennett and Polly Billups, and Kindred Spirits Hospice.
Visitation will be 2-3 PM Thursday at Robinson Funeral Home.
