Greg Hudspeth

November 24, 1961 ~ December 10, 2021 (age 60)

TUPELO – William Gregory “Greg” Hudspeth, 60, was called home on December 10, 2021 after living a faithful life for his Savior.  Greg was born on Nov. 24, 1961 in Robinsonville, IL to Mary Joann Hudspeth and Bobby Lee Hudspeth. He graduated from Tupelo High School in 1979 before continuing his education at Mississippi College studying accounting where he graduated in 1983.

Greg understood the importance of leading his family in a Christ-like way. While raising his family in Tupelo, he was faithful to Harrisburg Baptist Church. Greg was active in sharing the gospel with those around him. He took every opportunity he could get to tell others about Jesus and point them to Him in the way he lived his life.   His passion for sharing the gospel was so strong, that he decided in recent years to enroll in seminary at Columbia Seminary to study apologetics so that he could further engage the gospel and to better equip himself to share it with everyone he came in contact with.

He is preceded in death by his dad, Bobby Lee, and his sister, Katri Whitlock. He is survived by his bride of 37 years, Missy; his sons Jake Hudspeth and Ben Hudspeth (Lindsey) and grandson Gray; his mother Jo Hudspeth; his sister Penny Williams and brother Bobby Hudspeth.

A time of remembering Greg’s life will take place at 2 PM Monday, Dec. 13, 2021 at the Sadie Holland Memorial Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with Bro. Bobby McGuffie officiating.  Visitation for the public will begin at Noon on Monday.  For those unable to attend, the service may be viewed at www.hollandfuneraldirectors.com/Live-streaming at 2 pm Monday.  Private burial will be in Lincoln County, MS. at Fair River Baptist Church Cemetery.
