Funeral services for Catherine Weathers, 72, are set for Saturday, October 15 at 11:00 am at Memorial Funeral Home with Terry Smith officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, October 14 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Memorial Funeral Home and 10:00 am to service time Saturday. Burial will be in New Hope Church of Christ Cemetery.

Catherine was member of Foote Street Church of Christ, where she served as secretary for many years. She was a retired school teacher having taught at Farmington Elementary School and Tishomingo High School. She loved her students. Her hobbies included working with the World Bible School, photography, painting, calligraphy and traveling. She also learned how to make pottery and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Orbie and Eva Lancaster; her grandparents, Ellis and Alberta Pounders and Tilton and Anner Lancaster; brother, Aaron Lancaster; sister, Barbara Greer; and brother-in-law, Lonnie Bascomb.

Survivors include her sisters, Brenda Flanagan, Gwen Bascomb and Candace Fowler; brother, Michael Lancaster; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers include Raye Wallace, Tim Russell, Fred Churchill, Brandon Kohliem, Jon-Estis Bronson, and Monroe Churchill. Honorary Pallbearers are Matt Nunley, Andy Nunley, Tyler Lancaster, Riley Lancaster, Lonnie W Bascomb and Carlton Calvert.
