William Henry Cagle

March 30, 1940 ~ November 4, 2022 (age 82)

On November 4, 2022, William Henry Cagle, age 82, passed from this life to eternal rest, reuniting with his father and his wife, Wanda, in the presence of the Lord.  He was born on March 30,  1940, in Prentiss County, the son of L C Cagle, Sr.   William was named after both of his grandfathers.  He was a hard worker all of his life. At the tender age of 6, he started working on his family’s farm by  milking cows and picking cotton.  In his adult life, his strong work ethic continued with his being a supervisor at Mid-South Packers and then later being employed with the paint department at Day-Brite Lighting, from which he retired after 29-years service.   He was a graduate of Marietta High School and enjoyed coon hunting, driving his tractor, farming  and helping others.    He was a devoted and loving husband and father and a Baptist.  He will be missed greatly. 

 Survivors include his daughter, Alicia (Jack Wilkins) of Baldwyn;  his sister, Burnis Hamblin, of Booneville:  his nieces, Jimma Walden, Kim McPeak, Sharon Grissom and Kebby McElhanon, and his nephews, Darrell Burger, Darren Cagle,  Ronnie Burger, Mark Cagle and Chris McCluskey, as well as numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.     His beloved cat, Buddy Lee, survives as well.   In addition to his father and wife, he is predeceased by two sisters and three brothers .   

Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Sunday, November 6, at Kesler Funeral Home – Baldwyn Chapel.  A private burial service will follow.
