Larry Gray of Oxford, MS passed away on April 7, 2024, at his home. Please join us for a Celebration of Life service at Quacks at 122 Courthouse Square in Oxford, MS Friday, April 26, 2024, from 10:30-11:30 am.
He was born on May 15, 1953, in Brandon, MS to Harvey and Mary Gray. He graduated from Utica High School in 1971 and graduated Hinds Community College in 1974. Larry and wife Margaret raised their children in Brandon, MS and later moved to Gadsden, AL. In 2018 Larry retired from Rev-A-Shelf moved to Oxford, MS to enjoy retirement.
Larry was an avid music lover and Ole Miss fan. He enjoyed playing golf and seeing live music. Larry was known for his gift of storytelling and could recall the most minute details of any story or music history. But more than anything else, his greatest joy was his family.
Larry is survived by his wife Margaret Gray, daughter Sara (Drew) Jackson and son Deane (Jaime) Gray and 3 grandchildren: Gray, Wells, and Evan Jackson. He is also survived by his mother Mary Gray, sisters Brenda (Larry) Dotson and Cheryl Curtis as well as many nieces and nephews.
