Helen M. Winters, age 81, passed away on May 31, 2024, in the Care Center of Aberdeen, MS. She retired as the Head of the Environmental Services of North MS Medical Center in West Point, MS after a number of years. Helen loved her family, flowers, and working in her yard.
Helen is survived by her sons, Robert A. Jones of Starkville and William Bradley Winters of D’Iberville, MS; brothers, Pat Freeman and Mickey Freeman of Troy, NC; sister, Peggy Freeman of Troy, N.C.; grandchildren, Kyle Winters, Ryan Winters, Winnie Jones and Steve Jones. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Freeman and Mary Christine Townsend Freeman; and her husband, W.T. Winters.
Services are planned for Tuesday, June 4 in the Chester Baptist Church with visitation from 10-11 a.m. with the funeral service immediately following. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. in the Barbee Cemetery in Lula, MS.
