Jimmy Neal Kelly, 86, of Olive Branch, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2024. Born in Crossett, Arkansas, to the late Red and Agnes Kelley, Jimmy lived a life filled with love for his family and always had a warm heart.
A proud graduate of the Arkansas School for the Deaf, Class of 1957, Jimmy valued education and hard work. He also attended Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C. Jimmy was a member of Kirby Woods Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee, and worked as a printer for over 30 years.
Jimmy was the beloved father of two sons, Kevin and Philip. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Nita Lenore Case; his son, Phillip; his sister, Rita Arrington; and his step-grandson, Benjamin Hamilton.
He is survived by his loving wife, Diann; son, Kevin; two stepsons, Russ (Brandy) Jennings and Kevin (Courtney) Jennings; and nine grandchildren, who he loved dearly.
Jimmy loved to work with his hands, loved to travel, and always cherished spending time talking with loved ones. He will be remembered for his humor, kindness, and love for God. He was such an incredible man and father. He will be missed greatly. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
A service celebrating Jimmy’s life will be held on Saturday, January 11th, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Kirby Woods Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee. Fellowship will begin at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Memphis Deaf Church at Kirby Woods Baptist Church in his memory.
