He practiced the same patience when bird-watching, enjoying any small glimpse he could get of a rare or beautiful bird. Mr. Housley found great enjoyment in socializing through his daughters’ Facebook posts and during his frequent trips to The Beacon for breakfast. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Lilian Margaret Widdop, and his brother John Ronald Housley and his wife, Janice.

Mr. Housley is survived by his daughters, Sandra Ehrlichman of Southaven, MS and Melissa Cox of Oxford, MS; two grandchildren, Amanda Freiwald (Chris) and Geoffrey Harrison (Amy); two great-grandchildren, Charlotte Grace Harrison, and Noah Jackson; and many nieces and nephews.
