Billy Byrd
Wheeler, Bill Byrd, 82, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at his home. He enjoyed sitting on his porch reading his Bible, and he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bill was a farmer and chemical sales representative. He was a veteran of the AR Army National Guard and a member of The Lord’s Chapel Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be at Waters Funeral Home on Saturday, November 01, 2025 at 1:00 p. m. with Bro. Anthony Copeland and Bro. Ray Morton officiating. Burial will be in Prentiss Memorial Garden Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Byrd of Wheeler; daughter, Carla Denton (Tommy); sister, Peggy Faulkner; grandchildren, Brandon Byrd (Jacklyn) and Megan Gordon (Shane); great-grandchildren, Milleigh Kate Byrd, Ty Brody Byrd, Meiah Beth Byrd, Eli Gordon and Makenna Gordon; host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fay and Darcus Reynolds Byrd; daughter, Patricia Byrd; brothers, Archie Byrd and Gene Byrd; (1) brother-in-law; (1) sister-in-law; (2) nieces and (2) nephews.
Pallbearers will be Barrett Byrd, Kirk Faulkner, Greg Faulkner, Shane Gordon, Pud Faulkner and Alex Faulkner.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Montgomery, Ty Brody Byrd and Eli Gordon.
Visitation will be at Waters Funeral Home on Saturday from 11:00 a. m. until service time @ 1:00 p. m.
