Claudean Smith White

Mrs. Claudean Smith White, 92, died Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at The Pinnacle in Oxford. A graveside service will be held Friday, November 7, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. in Kingdom Cemetery with Rev. Buster Wilson officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the graveside from 12:30 P.M. until 1:30 P.M. at Waller Funeral Home.

Born on January 9, 1933, in Memphis, TN, Mrs. White was the widow of Mr. Curby White. Together, they were longtime and active members of New Prospect Baptist Church. Before retiring to Oxford, she was active in her Memphis community where she was a member of a homemakers club and well known for her beautiful and custom wedding cakes. She enjoyed raising her children and ensuring that they experienced everything childhood could offer while keeping their days full of core remembrances and experiences. Holidays were important and she and Curby always hosted their large family for Thanksgiving and Christmas, memories that are a priceless gift. While Mrs. White was good at everything she attempted, she was especially talented at crocheting, knitting and needlepoint and went through thousands of skeins of yard throughout her lifetime. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. White was preceded in death by a beloved daughter, Cheryl Dawn White and two sons, Mark Eric White and Timothy Brent White.

She is survived by her son, Curby Michael White and his wife, Theresa of Bartlett, TN; seven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
