Virginia McMillian

Baldwyn- Virginia Ruth “Ninny” McMillian 94, passed away on January 04, 2026 at her residence. She had always had an open house policy for her children’s friends. She said she had rather have them all at her house, so she would know everyone was happy and safe. She enjoyed cooking and baking and her family loved her chocolate cake. She loved spending time with her family. She had retired from Sam’s Club and she was a Baptist.

Funeral services will be held at Waters Funeral Home on Thursday, January 08, 2026 at 11:30 a. m. with Bro. Guyton Hinds officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.

She is survived by three children, Lyna McMillian Farley (Bruce), Delores Bryant Northcutt and Phillip McMillian; sister-in-law, Bobby Nell Hinds; grandchildren, Shawn McMillian, Kodi McMillian, Kim Gross, Salena Card, Tracy Northcutt and Flint Northcutt; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Riley McMillian; parents, Earl and Ima McCarthy Hinds; brothers, Ralph Hinds, Lenord Hinds and Leroy Hinds.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to northcuttoutdoorsfoundation.org to honor her request to care for the children being treated at St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Visitation will be at Waters Funeral Home on Thursday from 10:00 a. m. until her service time @ 11:30.
