Danielle Renee Lindsey King, 45, passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 in Monroe County. She was born on November 29, 1974 in Waukegan, IL to David R. Lindsey and Carleen S. Dodd. Danielle was a graduate of Sulligent High School where she also played in the band and she graduated Bevill State Community College where she earned her associate’s degree in nursing and on July 31, 1993 she married the love of her life, Michael King. For the past 19 years, she has been employed at Gilmore Hospital in Amory where worked in surgery, the emergency room, and in orthopedics. Danielle was a devoted wife and strong supporter of her children and could be found attending any sporting event they were involved in. She had a deep love for taking care of her patients and she had a smile that could light up the room and had the ability to make friends where ever she went. A horse enthusiast, Danielle liked nothing better than to go trail riding and oftentimes she could be found in the wood shop making anything that came to mind. She loved all things outdoors where she loved the relaxation of hiking and boating, but she also enjoyed the challenge of hunting. She, along with her family, attended Crossbound Church in Smithville.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home in Amory with Bro. Kevin Crook and Bishop Leonard Howell officiating. Burial will follow in the Crenshaw Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Michael King of Greenwood Springs; two sons, Conner King and Cade King of the home; her mother, Calreen S. Dodd of Detroit, AL; one brother, Chris Lindsey (Janna) of Hazel Green, AL; her mother-in-law, Patricia King of Sulligent; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; and countless friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, David Lindsey; and grandparents, Mamie Johnson Creel, Robert H. Johnson, Leora Lindsey Smitherman, and Berlie B. Lindsey.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Harper, Corey Glenn, Ted Odom, Todd Glenn, Tony Swan, and Greg Norton.

Visitation will be on Friday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to LeBonheur Children’s Hospital or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
