David William Edwards Jr, age 72, of Water Valley, MS died Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS. He was born July 11, 1947 in Water Valley to the late David and Lavern (Henderson) Edwards and worked the majority of his career at the Motts Poultry Processing Plant in Water Valley. After retirement, he worked part time for Cobra Security at different events. He enjoyed collecting, shooting, and competing with firearms. He also enjoyed riding and traveling on his Goldwing motorcycle.
Visitation is planned for Wednesday, February 19, 2020 in the Gardiner Room at Seven Oaks Funeral Home from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Services will follow at 11:00 AM in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Dr. Randy Bain officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery with Robbie Ashford, Hunter Ashford, Joey Chapman, Matt Taylor, and Jeff Pass serving as pallbearers.
David is survived by three nieces, Teresa Pass (Jeff), Sharon Valient, and Holly Taylor (Tim); Three Nephews, Ronnie Hill, Jamie Hill, and John Hill.
Along with his parents, David was preceded in death by two brothers, James Robert Hill, and Roy “Buster” Hill.
