Scottie Spratlin Ward, age 88, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2015 at her daughter's residence in Bruce, Mississippi. She was born February 6, 1927 in the Lloyd community in Vardaman, Mississippi.
She was a member of Vardaman First Baptist Church. Mrs. Ward retired from Vardaman Schools as a cafeteria worker.
Visitation will be on Monday, March 16, 2015 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the funeral home in Vardaman, Mississippi.
Funeral will be on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at 2:00PM at Vardaman First Baptist Church with Bro. Joey Hamilton officiating assisted by Bro. Archie Goodwin and Bro. Benny Hill. Burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Adam Hamilton, Jeff Hamilton, Bryson Rodgers, Andy Thomas, Tyler Thomas and Neal Washington.
Mrs. Ward's survivors include two daughter's; Connie Hamilton (Bro. Joey)of Bruce, MS and Faye Ward of Ackerman, MS. A step daughter; Ann Ross "Ronald" of Woodland, MS. One son; Kenneth Hardin of Thorn, MS. A sister Louise Shelton of Grenada, MS. Her grandchildren; Melody McKenzie, Mistie Thomas, Mike Hardin, Adam Hamilton, Jenna Beth Hamilton and a host of step grandchildren. Four great grandchildren and a host of step great grandchildren.
Mrs. ward is preceded in death by her husband C.P. Ward and a son Billy Hardin. Her parents were the late Winfred and Lois Collums Spratlin.
