Celebration of Life Service for Jean Oldham, 84, are set for Friday at 1:00 pm at Tuscumbia Baptist Church with Bro. Rodney Whittemore and Bro. Trent Nethery officiating. Burial will follow in the Tuscumbia Baptist Church Cemetery.

Family will receive friends Thursday from 5:00pm to 8:00pm and Friday from 11:00am to service time at Tuscumbia Baptist Church.

Mrs. Jean Smith Oldham passed away on Monday, March 9, 2020 at her residence. She was a beloved member of Tuscumbia Baptist Church. She adored her church family and rarely missed services until her sickness began last year.

She was born on January 7, 1936, to Robert J. and Myrtis Polk Smith. She graduated from Monticello High School in 1954. She continued her education at Draughn’s Business College and Belhaven University on Jackson, MS.

She married John H. Oldham June 17, 1965 and they had two children. Mrs. Jean worked as an insurance agent for Albert Moore Insurance in Pearl, MS where upon retirement, she and her husband moved to Corinth, MS, to be closer to her daughter.

Mrs. Jean enjoyed gardening and loved to grow unique variations of flowers that she gifted to many of her Gift Community neighbors and friends. Mrs. Jean took pride in her children, her love of Jesus and love of others. Mrs. Jean will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, John H. Oldham; her parents; a brother, Bobby Smith.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Spencer (Billy “B Y”); a son, John Clay Oldham; and a grandson, Rohan Todd Oldham.

Pallbearers will be Tim Chapman, Tim Wilbanks, Tim Bradley, Noah Chapman, Stone Bradley, and Tommy Crum.
