Mrs. Rebecca Jane Brummett Franklin, 78, died Saturday, March 14, 2020, at her home in Pontotoc County, MS. The funeral service will be Monday, March 16, 2020, at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Bain officiating.  Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 12:00 Noon at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery.

Born in Oxford, MS, Mrs. Franklin retired from the Lafayette County School District where she worked as the head of food services.  She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Water Valley, a member of the Homemakers Club and a faithful volunteer with RSVP and the 4H Club.  She looked forward to time spent with her friends from her bunko group and was a member of the Antique Car Club.  Mrs. Franklin was preceded in death by her parents, William Norris and Kathleen Brummett; her biological mother, Dell Jenkins; a son, Steve Franklin; a sister, Etheleen Prince and two brothers, Jim and William Brummett.

Survivors include her husband, Lannon Franklin; two daughters, Ann Goss and her husband, Roger of Grenada, MS and Michelle Robinson and her husband, Michael of Greenville, MS; a daughter in law, Jessica Franklin of Crystal Springs, MS; three sisters, Sue Tidwell of Oxford, Bennie Jones of Oxford and Katie Miles of Water Valley, MS; three brothers, Larry Kinard of Vicksburg, MS, Johnnie Kinard of Indiana and Grady Croft of Oxford, MS and eight grandchildren.
