Mr. Leroy “Roy” George Curtis Arnold, 84, died Friday, March 27, 2020, at his home in Oxford. No services are scheduled at this time.
Born in Chicago, IL to the late George and Leona Kimmes Arnold, Roy was retired as Manager of Quality Control at Emerson Electric Corporation and a graduate of Indiana University. A member of Oxford University United Methodist Church, Roy was a veteran of the United States Army, a Mason and Past President of the Oxford Shrine Club. He was a former member of the State Executive Board of the Republican Party and Chairman of the Lafayette County Republican Party. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking and created beautiful furniture. For 55 years Roy was married to his best friend and wife, Jenny.
Survivors include his wife, Jenny Arnold of Oxford, MS; one daughter, Jennifer Arnold of Oxford, MS; one sister, Lony Brazda of Grey Lake, IL, one brother, Jim Arnold of Goodletsville, TN; several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions in Roy’s memory made be made to Shriners Children’s Hospital, 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 33607.
