Mrs. Mildred Murray Douglass Hopkins, 86, died peacefully at her home in Oxford on Thursday, April 9, 2020. Due to current health concerns, a private graveside service will be held at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Waller Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Oxford, MS to the late Oscar Harry and Mildred Murray Douglass, Mrs. Hopkins was widow of Dr. Lloyd Gerald Hopkins.
Survivors include two daughters, Holly H. Peeples and her husband, Alan of Ridgeland, MS and Heidi H. Ducote and her husband, Marty of Oxford; one son, Lloyd Gerald “Gary” Hopkins, Jr. and his wife, Heather of Chelsey, MI; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to her longtime caregivers, Wendy Long and Peaches Hickenbottom as well as the entire staff of Kindred Hospice.
