She was a member of Foote Street Church of Christ and a realtor for over 30 years and retired from Bailey Williams Reality Company. She enjoyed watching sports especially college football and basketball. Her favorite team was the Memphis Grizzlies and Dallas Cowboys and Dak Prescott.
Survivors are her son, Marshall (Lucretia) Howell, two grandchildren, Jon Howell, Hollie Pennington; five great- grandchildren, Kayla (Jackson) Maynor, Kodee Howell, Callie Howell, Samuel Grant Pennington and Shephard Howell Pennington; sister, Gloria (William) Mears; and brothers, Gary (Gerry) Cooper and Phillip (Barbara) Cooper.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Dewitt Howell; her parents; brother, Charles Cooper; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frank and Lila Howell.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic a private family service will be held Friday, April 17, 2020 at 11:00 am at Memorial Funeral Home. Reed Swindle and Blake Nicholas will officiate the service. The funeral service will be live streamed at 11:00 am Friday on Memorial Funeral Home’s Facebook page.
