Houston— Mary Dale Pace Odom, 87, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2020 at NMMC in Tupelo, MS. Born in Tuscaloosa, AL on April 22, 1932, she was a daughter of Henry Bennett and Allie May Pace.

Mary attended Becker Schools. She married the love of her life, Curtis Leory Odom, on August 2, 1952, and together they were blessed with four daughters. She and Curtis spent 57 years together. A sweet, kindhearted, and funny Southern lady, Mary was loved by many people in her community. She often went walking on her red walker across the town of Aberdeen. She enjoyed going out to eat and sitting with other elderly folks during the day. Mary was a faithful member of Becker Baptist Church.

Mary loved spending time with her family, and enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to talk about Jesus and share his love with everyone around her. Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Mary is survived by her daughters, Hazel Marie Ford (Larry), of Aberdeen, Betty Ruth Cornet, Athens Community, Barbara Ann Jones, Hamilton, MS; brother, Andy Pace (Donna), Amory; 11 beloved grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Odom; daughter, Mary Louise Odom; and brothers, Jim L. Pace, George H. Pace, David G. Pace, John H. Pace, Ollie R. Pace.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2020, at Greenbrier Cemetery with Bro. Robert Earl Fowlkes officiating.
