Mary Arlene Anderson, 80, died Monday, April 27, 2020, at Bells Nursing and Rehab Center in Bells, TN. A private graveside service will be held at Forrest Memorial Park Cemetery with Elder Ray Huang officiating. Waller Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mary was born in Lafayette County to the late Tommy Dorsey and Agnes Pauline Briscoe Anderson. She was a beloved member of Water Valley Seventh Day Adventist Church where she taught children’s Sabbath School. She shared her gift of cooking and hospitality with her church family. Her sweet spirit and sense of humor endeared her to everyone she met. She was faithful to her Lord, loved to read her Bible and was fond of homeless cats. She was a valued employee, known for her diligent work ethic, admired by her co-workers and the public she served. She was a keen nature enthusiast and delighted in scenic country rides.
Survivors include four daughters, Linda Huang and her husband, Ray of Medina, TN, Mary Sue Frazier and her husband, Glenn of Grenada, MS, Patti Davis and her husband, Michael of Wingate, NC and Robin Sullender and her husband, Lloyd of Jackson, TN; three sons, Steve Mills of Anchorage, AK, Stan Mills and his wife, Maryann of Medon, TN and John Sullender and his wife, Teresa of Jackson, TN; a brother, Bill Anderson of Oxford, MS and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
