Joshua Charles Reed, age 37, of Water Valley, MS died Friday, May 1, 2020 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS. He was born March 7, 1983 in Holland, MI to Charles and Mary (Finch) Reed. Josh was a very quiet, compassionate, down to earth young man that had many joys in his life. Those joys varied from professional wrestling, watching The Ultimate Warrior and Hulk Hogan, to Professional football, cheering on the Detroit Lions and Kansas City Chiefs. He also loved cooking pizza, which included making his own dough and sauce. Along with his other joys were bowling, golfing and singing, even though he had rather people didn’t know he could. But most of all, Josh loved his family and being a dad to Adrian.

A private visitation for immediate family is planned for Monday, May 4, 2020 in the Gardiner Room at Seven Oaks Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Services will begin at 2:00 PM in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Bro. Shane Crawford and Bro. Brad Gray officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Liberty Cemetery.

Those left to cherish Josh’s memory are one son, Adrian Reed; his parents, Chuck and Mary Reed, all of Water Valley, MS; one sister, Kathryn Rene’ Belin (Jason), of Zeeland, MI; nieces and nephews, Brett Reed, Colby Kernell, Bailey Reed; and many cousins, aunts and uncles.

Josh was preceded in death by his grandparents, James E. and Aneva M. Reed, Hattie M. Mathis; and one Uncle, Ford Potts.

  1. Dear Mr and Mrs Reed,
    I learned only today when I saw Rene in FF that Joshua was no longer on this earth. I cried as Rene told me a little of his story. I’m so sorry for your loss.
    I just finished watching his funeral service. He was quite the young man.
    My heart is heavy for you. But I too know that you will see him again. May you feel Gid’s Presence and comfort.
