FULTON – Jimmy Wayne Gordon, 73, died Sunday, May 3, 2020, at the North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice Unit. He was born June 19, 1946, in Itawamba County to Melvin and Mary Eloise Sullins Gordon. He retired after 40 years as a truck driver, having driven to all 48 continental states. He was a veteran serving in both the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy. He enjoyed mowing his yard and watching Fox News.

Private family services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 5, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Pastor Debra Lay officiating. Burial will be in the New Salem Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Deanna Gordon; one step-daughter, Debbie Donahue (Frank) of Fulton; one sister, Patsy Noe of Peaceful Valley; three grandchildren, Jessica Abbott of Blue Springs, Nicole Nix of Randolph, and Nathaniel Gordon of Randolph; and four great-grandchildren, Camron Abbott, Devon Abbott, Brianna Nix, and Chandler Nix.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, David Gordon; one daughter, Angie Gordon; and one brother, Max Gordon.

Pallbearers will be William Taylor, Johnathan Fisher, Robert Lopez, Patrick Nichols, Russ Abbott, Camron Abbott, and Devon Abbott.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
