A private service for Robert Palmer, 80, will be held Wednesday May 6, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home with burial to follow in Henry Cemetery.
Mr. Palmer died on May 4, 2020 at the North Alabama Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born in Booneville, MS on February 9, 1940 to the late Travis and Martha Katherine McMillian Palmer. He retired from Wal-Mart after 16 years and enjoyed refurbishing old cars and going to car shows. He was a member of Tate Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of almost 62 years, Faye Palmer of Corinth; daughter, Deborah Thigpen and husband Dennis E. of Killen, AL; brothers, Jerry Palmer and wife Sue of Arkansas and Marion Palmer of Monroe, LA; sister-in-law, Rumell Palmer of Booneville and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Tommy Palmer.
Bro. Mickey Trammel will officiate the service.
Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
