Troy Willie Belford was born May 5, 1943 in Union County, Mississippi to Fred Lee and Canary Belford.
On Monday, May 5, 2020 at 11:45 pm, Troy transitioned this life at Baptist Memorial, Oxford, MS to spend eternity with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was preceded in death by all his siblings and his parents.
Troy will be most remembered for his fondness of hunting game, especially deer. There was never a deer season that he did not participate, until his health became a challenge. He was an outdoorsman who loved working with hands on automobiles and riding motorcycles in his early years. Troy was a great provider and protector of his family. Any way that he could show his love and his support, he would do anything for the members of his family.
He confessed his love and faith for Christ and was baptized at an early age. His love for his church, Holy Temple Church of God in New Albany, MS showed in his efforts to help his church family and the organization.
Troy’s loving memories are cherished by his wife of fifty-two years, Polly (Ferrell) Belford, his children, Henry Louis (Mia) Ray of DuPont, WA, Amy Belford of Lawrenceville, GA, and Nakia (Gabe) Wilson of New Albany, MS. He has four grandchildren that he loved dearly, he leaves behind his in-laws Homer (Nell) Ferrell, Charles (LouCresia) Ferrell and Francis Braddock. In addition to those loved ones, a wealth of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, the visitation will be walk thru only limited to only 10 persons in viewing area at the same time.
