Gertie Mae Stewart

Ms. Mae Stewart went to live with God on April 27, 2020. She was
born August 15, 1948, the third of ten children to her proud parents,
the late Woodrow Stewart, Sr. and Mrs. Annie Marshall Stewart.
She accepted Christ early in life and joined Mt. Nebo C.M.E.
Church, where she attended Sunday School faithfully. She was an
active member of C.Y.F. Christian Youth Fellowship, directed by
Mrs. Johnny Lee Smith.
Mae attended and graduated from Lee Prentiss High School in 1966.
She furthered her education in Business Administration at Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio. She pursued her career in
banking and working for an Attorney at Law until she retired.
While in Ohio, Mae became a member of Canaan Missionary Bapist
Church in Dayton and made many friends. She is remembered by
friends as a woman who was sweet and a good listener.
After retirement Mae returned home and renewed her membership
with Mt. Nebo C.M.E. Church. She enjoyed reading the Bible and
studying the scriptures, games and activities that involved working
with numbers, studying food nutritions, talking to friends and
family, and keeping in contact with her nieces and nephews.
She leaves to mourn her passing (5) loving sisters: Shirley Lee of
Dayton, OH, Maudie Stewart, Helen (Wallace) Calomese, Sandra
Fields and Constance (Willie) Wilson all of Baldwyn, MS, (1)
brother; Nick (LA) of Booneville, MS (1) uncle Bobby (Marzie)
Marshall of Peoria, IL. (1) sister

-law Charlotte Stewart of
Baldwyn, MS, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends
She was preceded in death by her parents and (3) brothers;
Woodrow Stewart Jr., Andrew Stewart and Charles Stewart. The Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name
of the Lord. ~Job 1:21B NIV
