Mary Foshee Henderson, age 87, of Water Valley, MS died peacefully Thursday, May 28, 2020 at her home. She was born April 3, 1933 in Greenwood, MS to the late John and Jimmie (Long) Foshee. After moving to Jackson, Mary started her own home daycare and later worked in the daycare at Broadmore Baptist Church in Jackson. Mary also enjoyed wrapping gifts at McRae‘s dept store during the holidays. Later she did alterations for the cleaners business’s that she and her husband, B.W. owned in Water Valley and Grenada for over nineteen years. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, and sewing.
Visitation is planned for Saturday, May 30, 2020, in the Gardiner Room at Seven Oaks Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Services will begin at 11:00 AM in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Dr. Randy Bain officiating. Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Grenada, MS.
Mary is survived by two sons, John Henderson (Alice), and Danny Henderson, all of Water Valley, MS; 3 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband B.W.
