William "Buddy" Tatum left his earthly body at his residence, Thursday June 4, 2020 at 4am. Buddy was born July 8, 1947 to Clara Fowler Tatum and Houston Tatum in Nettleton, MS.  He was a member of Bigbee Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, and camping and being with Miss Betty, his wife of 30 happy years.  He married Betty Ray Tackett on June 30, 1990 making her the love of his life.  Mr. Tatum worked in the pest control business for many years and then made a career in the construction, concrete, and foundation work.

Buddy is survived by his wife, Betty Ray Tackett Tatum of Nettleton, three children, daughter Pam Houk of Huntsville, Al; sons Scottie Tackett (Kristy) of Nettleton, and Brad Tatum (Brandi) of Meridianville, Al. One sister Betty Shankle of Calhoun City and one brother James Tatum (Diane) of Nettleton. Seven grandchildren Barbie Bryant, Brandon Houk, Kelsey, Kaleigh, and Thaniel Tackett; Austin and Brooklyn Tatum. Four great grandchildren Lucas, Cam, Hunter and Emma Rose. Many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. Along with many special friends at Grenada Campground and a special pet "Lady" whom he loved and she loved him. Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, brother Thomas Tatum (Melba) and brother-n-law A C Shankle.

Visitation and viewing will be at 11:00 am Monday with Family Reflections and Memories in the Magnolia Room of Associated Family Funeral & Cremation Center
