Geneva Owens Dodds, 69, died Friday, June 5, 2020, at her residence. She was born May 9, 1951, in Hamilton, AL to Boyd Owens and Artvee Palmer Owens. She had lived in Aberdeen since 2005. Ms. Dodds was a seamstress for Sharp Garment. She was a Baptist.
She is survived by two daughters Angela Jones (Cecil Jones, Jr) of Aberdeen and Tina Reeves (Greg) of Wren, MS; one son Kenny Dodds of Aberdeen, MS; four sisters Judy Habard of Florida, Pat Jones of Aberdeen, MS, Betty Mills of Aberdeen, MS and Shirley Owens of Hamilton, MS; seven grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Preston Dodds, a daughter-in-law Brenda Dodds, two grandsons Justin Dodds and Nathan Dodds, one brother Tony Owens and one sister Janet Owens. Pallbearers will be grandsons.
- Services will be Wednesday, June 10, 2020, at 2:00 P.M. at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home with Robert Earl Fowlkes and Jimmy Bryant officiating.
- Burial will be at Boones Chapel Cemetery.
- Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home of Aberdeen is in charge of the arrangements.
- Visitation will be Tuesday, June 9, 2020, from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home.
