Laverne Coker

Laverne Coker (91) passed away Saturday June 6,2020 at her home in Booneville. Services will be 2:00 Monday at the Booneville Church of Christ  with Minister Tony Brown and Minister Glenn Newton officiating. Burial will follow in the Jacinto Church of Christ Cemetery. Mrs. Laverne was a  member of the Booneville Church of Christ . She loved goin to church, studying her Bible and spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed playing kendal and  going out to eat.  Survivors include her daughter; Brenda Dunavent (Bobby) of Booneville, her son; Tommy Coker (Janet) of Booneville, her sisters; Virlon Davis and Wynell Thompson (LC) both of Booneville, her grandchildren; John Cartwright (Dixie) of Starkville, Melissa Roberts (Billy) of Booneville, Regina Newton (Glenn) of St. Augustine,FL, Tamala Harris of Texarkanna, TX, Robert Dunavent of Orting,WA and Kay Roselle (Mike) of Bossier City,LA, her great-grandchildren; Alec Cartwright of Tuscaloosa,AL, Ethan Cartwright of Jackson,MS, Emily Cartwright of Starkville, Izzy Roberts of Booneville, Tyler Dunavent of Cleveland,MS and Hunter, Curtis & Seth Newton all of St. Augustine,FL. She was preceded in death by her husband; Quinton Coker, her parents; John and Willie Garrett, her sister; Edith Garrett, her nephew; Keith Thompson and her niece; Lynn Downs. Visitation will be from 12:00 until service time Monday at the church.
