Mary Agnes Holt, age 89, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, June 24, 2020, at North MS Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born June 19, 1931, to Kirby Smith and Nettie Boyd Smith in Monroe County. She was a life long resident of Grubb Springs where she was a member of Bartahatchie Baptist Church and served as church treasurer and pianist for many years. She was a graduate of Greenwood Springs School and attended some college. She retired as an employee for Monroe County Schools. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and fishing.
Survivors include her husband, Herbert Denver Holt of Grubb Springs, MS with whom she was married for 62 years; one daughter, Renelda Holt Goode (Michael) of Grubb Springs, MS; and one son, Darryl Holt of Grubb Springs, MS. She is preceded in death by her parents.
- Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 27, 2020, in the Tisdale-Lann Memorial Chapel in Aberdeen with Bro. Philip Lindsey and Bro. Glen Hughes officiating.
- Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
- Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday, June 26, 2020, at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen.
