Margaret Bessie Cheatham, 72, passed away Friday, June 26, 2020, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born in the Itawamba Community on May, 18, 1948 to Herbel Buford Lindsey and Annie Lou Goodwin Lindsey. She loved to read, sew, quilting, canning, crocheting and talking. She was a sewing machine operator.
Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until 2:00 PM, June 27, 2020, in the Chapel of Booneville Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow with Bro. Ray Bennett officiating. Burial will be in the Kirkville Cemetery. Booneville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her husband, Charles; two daughters, Dana Cheatham of Booneville and Janie Potts (John) of Corinth; four brothers, H.B. Lindsey (Annette); Jackie Lindsey (Becky); Jobie Lindsey (Lisa) and Mac Lindsey all of Booneville; one sister, Marianne Holley (Roy) also of Booneville. A host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, E.G. Lindsey and Hobert Lindsey; one sister, Betty Shook all of Booneville.
Pallbearers will be Reed Lindsey, Carter Holley, Eric Lindsey, Richard Shook, Roy Holley and Hobie Lindsey. Honorary pallbearer will be Collin Holley.
