Mrs. Patsy Redwine Wilbourn, 77, died Thursday, June 25, 2020, at Baptist Memorial Hospital North MS. Waller Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Water Valley, MS to the late James “Dan” Leland Redwine and Bessie Jenkins Redwine, Mrs. Wilbourn was widow of Mr. Sammy Lee Wilbourn who died just two months prior. Her family recalls that she was unselfish with fulfilling her own needs and always put her children and the needs of others before herself. She often went out of her way to bring joy to others. She could rarely shop for herself without getting distracted by buying things for other people. Mrs. Wilbourn truly lived an example of sacrificial love. Her family finds comfort in today’s weather because she especially loved rainy days where she could stay cozied up inside and enjoy rain naps. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Faye Redwine Barnes and a brother, James Rayford Redwine.
Survivors include her children, James Dale Wilbourn and his wife, Chris of Grenada, MS, Tammy Leigh Wilbourn Gordon and her husband, Scotty of Coffeeville, MS, Samuel Tyrone Wilbourn and his wife, Rhonda of Water Valley, MS and Kevin Scott Wilbourn and his wife, Jewel of Water Valley, MS; her favorite child, an 8 year old Shit-Tzu, Sampson; nineteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, plants, gifts or food, the family requests memorial contributions in Mrs. Wilbourn’s memory be made to Second Chance Animal Alliance, 11171 Hwy 315, Water Valley, MS 38965.
