Elton Rayburn Burress Sr., 83, passed away Friday, June 26, 2020, at his home. He was born March 26, 1937, to Leander and Ocie Burress. He was a U.S. Army veteran, and a supervisor for CCA for many years. He enjoyed patiently working on lawn mowers and kids bikes, and fishing.

A Celebration of Life service will be at 2:00 P.M. Monday, June 29, 2020, at McMillan Funeral Home with Minister Tony Brown officiating. Burial will be in Piney Grove Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary Tucker Burress; two sons, Phillip (Frances) Burress and Mike Burress; one daughter, Mary (Kelly) Burress; one sister, Evelyn (Bobby) Bucannon; and one grandson, Phillip Burress Jr.

He was preceded in death by one son, Elton Burress Jr.; his parents; one brother, James Burress; and one sister, Louise Heddy.

Visitation will be Monday from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
