Sandra Fay Cockrell

Ms. Sandra Fay Cockrell, 73, transitioned on Sunday, June 28, 2020 at her residence in Philadelphia, PA. She was born on Jun 4, 1947 in Fulton, MS, to the late Clinton Clifton and Bedie Jones Clifton. 

Sandra accepted Christ at an early age. She was a member of Shiloh CME church until she passed on to glory.She attended East High School and received a GED in Philadelphia Pennsylvania.
She was a loving homemaker to her five children until they became of age. She drove for the Philadelphia school district for Laidlaw bus company for several years.Earning the nickname of “Mustang Sally “because she could drive any vehicle on wheels.

She enjoyed driving, bowling, dancing, and spending time with her family and friends.Sandra touch many peoples lives. She was a devoted mother, loving sister, great grandmother, awesome aunt, compassionate cousin, and fabulous friend. She was the best and loved by most. Her other famous name was “Momma”.

She had five biological children but was call “Momma” by a whole community.She was “Momma” plain and simple. Sandra went home to Jesus on June 28, 2020 in the comfort of her second home in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. She leaves to cherish her memories her eldest daughter Katrina Clifton of Philadelphia Pennsylvania, Twynna Cockrell of Philadelphia Pennsylvania, Donna Cockrell of Philadelphia Pennsylvania, her beloved son Buford Cockrell of Fulton Mississippi, and her baby girl Lakisha Griffin of Philadelphia Pennsylvania. Two sisters Doris Clifton of Fulton, MS and Willie B. Ruff of Fulton Mississippi. Special Grandaughter K.K/Nurse until the end. 12 Beautiful Grandchildren/20 Priceless Great-Grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her father Clinton Cliftoni and mother Bedie Clifton, Brothers Eddie Clifton and Clinton Clifton Jr.,Beautiful sister Annie B. Brownlee and Brother in-laws Theodore Brownlee Sr. and Raymond Clifton.

Services will take place on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at 11a.m. at Senter Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton, MS. Burial will follow at Shiloh C.M.E. Church Cemetery in Fulton. Serenity-Autry Funeral Home of Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be on Saturday, July 11, 2020 from 10a.m. until time of the service at Senter Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton.
