Larry “Bear” Cork was born October 4, 1952 to Ruby and the late Floyd Junior Cork of Reform, MS. He departed this life on July 11, 2020 at the Baptist Memorial Golden Triangle Hospital in Columbus, MS at 1:30 p.m. He joined the Bethsalem M.B. Church at an early age where he once served on the usher’s board and was a member of the young adult choir. He graduated from Choctaw County High School in 1970 and was well-known in his community. He was employed to the workforce at Bellwood Company and Trinity Industries known as the Steal Mill (Hackney) in Ackerman, MS for many years. He leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Ruby Cork of Reform, MS; four children: two sons, Alvin G. Cork (Lisa) of San Diego, California; Kendrick D. Triplett (Sha) of Tupelo, MS; one son-in-law, Bradley Clinton of Columbus, MS; two daughters, Taiyanna Brown of Lakeland, TN; Farrah Banks (Sean) of Jackson, MS; ten grandchildren, three great grandchildren; three brothers, Theodis Francis (Dorothy) of Reform, MS; James (Tap) Cork (Sudie) of Reform, MS; Jimmy L. Cork of Reform, MS; five nieces and four nephews, eight great nieces and eleven great nephews, two uncles, four aunts, and one great aunt. A daughter the late Chivonda Clinton and a brother, the late Billy Cork, also preceded him in death. He also leaves a host of relatives and friends who loved him dearly.

  1. Dear Cork family, my deepest condolences in this time of bereavement. The loss of a loved one brings great pain and sorrow but we have a Loving and caring God who gives us comfort. 2 Corinthians 1:3,4.
    And Acts 24:15 speaks of a resurrection. So you can see your dead loved ones again.
