David Moore Yates (88) passed away Sunday, July 19, 2020 at the Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. He was a veteran of the US Air Force. He enjoyed sports (playing and coaching), mowing the grass, feeding his cats and taking care of his wife before her passing.
A two hour visitation will be 2-4 pm Tuesday, July 21, 2020 in the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Jumpertown Cemetery.
He is survived by his sons, Michael Yates (Cindy) and David Yates, Jr. (Cindy) both of Missouri; his daughter, Susan Schroeder (Terry) of Illinois and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Yates; his parents, Charlie and Martha Yates, 5 brothers and 1 sister.
Dear Hates Family I am deeply sorry for your loss and would like to share a scripture with you. It is found at Acts 24:15. In this scripture the Bible speaks of a promise God, whose name is Jehovah, has made to bring our loved ones back to life. Many people find it comforting to know they can see their loved ones again. I hope you find comfort in this message as well.
