She departed this life on July 17, 2020 at Traceway Retirement Community Page House in Tupelo, MS.
She professed a hope in Christ at an early age, and first attended Daniel Baptist, and she was an active member of Bibleway Missionary Baptist Church, in Copperas Cove, TX, until her health failed.

She leaves to cherish her loving son, Walter Talley of Aberdeen, MS;one brother, J.C. (Linda) Talley of Aberdeen, MS; two sisters, Cassie (Earl) Garth of Aberdeen, MS and Annie Sue Talley of Amory, MS; three grandchildren, Shelia Talley of Shannon, MS, Curtis Talley of Belden, MS and Tanja Marion of GA; twelve great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and .Elizabeth Goodman, fondly known as her Texas daughter.

She was preceded in death by her son, Willie Clarence McClendon and three sisters, Willie Ann Cunningham, Juanita Peters and Mattie Perkins and three brothers, Willie Talley, L.C. Talley and W.C. Talley

Services will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday July 25, 2020 at Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc with Rev. Roderick Talley officiating, burial will follow in the Talley Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home is honored to assist the family with the arrangements.

  1. Dear McClendon Family, I am deeply sorry for your loss and would like to share a scripture with you. The scripture is found at Revelation 21:3,4 where the Bible speaks of a time when all the terrible things we see on earth now will be done away with. Yes, God has made a promise to rid the earth of all the pain and suffering we endure today, even death. This is a promise many people find comforting. I hope you find comfort in it as well during this difficult time.
